Insight MSC are delighted to announce the appointment of Brian Mahon, FCMI, CMgr, MBA, BSc (Hons), as a Director of Insight MSC. Brian has over 15 years’ experience as a business change and transformation expert specialising in Finance/ERP change projects.

For the last fifteen years, Brian has led enterprise scale change initiatives at Board level across a wide range of public and private sector organisations including Central Government, Local Authorities and Higher Education Institutions as well as large private companies. Prior to this Brian managed IT operations and systems development teams in the UK and overseas.

Brian’s key areas of expertise are Programme and Project Management, Business change management, organisational transformation and implementation of large scale ERP systems solutions. He has experience of many ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, JD Edwards and Agresso.

Clients have included Manchester Metropolitan University, University of Leeds, East Sussex County Council, the House of Commons, the Office of the Rail Regulator (ORR) Atkins plc and others.

We are excited by the wealth of experience, passion and enthusiasm Brian brings to Insight MSC management and look forward to working together and building the business further.

InsightMSC delivered a workshop on the practical impacts of IFRS in Local Government at the Celtic Manor Resort Hotel in Newport on 18th February 2010.

The session focused on the key impacts on systems, processes & people and what can be done now to minimise risks and ensure successful IFRS conversion within the timeframes.

ConsultancyONE ICT Lot award

Following our recent announcement regarding the appointment of Insight MSC on three ConsultancyONE finance and audit lots, we are delighted to announce that we have been successful also on the ICT Lot 3.4.

Lot 3.4 – Information & Communications Technology – the scope is to provide ICT expertise for the development and pre-design solutions for a wide range of ICT projects to deliver business improvements including:

  • Development of vision and strategic brief
  • Analysis of current systems and problem / opportunity definition
  • Options analysis
  • Conceptualisation / inception and viability studies
  • Technical analysis
  • Economic analysis
  • Operational analysis
  • Cost v benefit analysis
  • Recommendation of preferred solution
  • Requirements specification
  • Provide technical expertise to support ongoing ICT projects

The ConsultancyONE framework, other than by exception, will be mandatory for all Central Government Organisations, Departments, Arms Length Bodies and Non-Departmental Public Bodies to use for tenders valued between £100,000 and £2m. The wider public sector will also be able to access the framework without value restrictions, including Local Authorities, Higher Education Institutions and the NHS.

Appointment to this framework means that any public sector body can access our services on a ‘call off’ basis and at discounted rates through this EU compliant and cost effective contracting route quickly and easily – saving significant time and money on procurement costs.
